When I was growing up there was always a lot of music playing in my house. I am the second youngest of four boys and my two oldest brothers are nine and twelve years older than me. So, from an early age I was always singing along to their Tapes CD’s. Anything from Nirvana, Oasis, Simply Red, James Brown, Paul Weller, U2, Bob Marley, RATM, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more...
My parents played a lot of stuff too like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Elvis, Al Green, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks and The Police, Fleetwood Mac, Simply Red and Texas. So I was kind of absorbing all of this without really being aware of it. But as I grew up I realised that my taste in music was quite eclectic and had been influenced by these early years.
As well as the classics other Artists and Bands I love to listen to these days are David Gray, Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, James Morrison, Stephen Fretwell, Boo Hewerdine, Ray LaMontagne, Richard Ashcroft, Snow Patrol, The Strokes, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Elbow, Audio Slave, The Fray, Friendly Fires, John Mayer, The Temper Trap, Yeah Yeah Yeahs…
